Veg-Up face care, the evolution of bio cosmetics

The cosmetics market is undergoing profound changes in recent years, cosmetics more than ever are taking a biological, natural footprint more and more attentive to the needs of consumers and ecology. Cosmetic companies must take great care to the characteristics of the products they produce, today the consumer is increasingly attentive and informed about ingredients, allergens and certifications. Our company has been looking at ecobio cosmetics for some time now, and does so by ensuring high quality standards to its own lines. The formulation of our products is careful to ensure a quality cosmetic, with biocompatible and environmentally friendly ingredients in full compliance with skin physiology. The last project we are working on, already on the market, is a line Eco-biodynamic Face.

But what does ecobiodynamic mean?
An ecobiodynamic cosmetic is first of all a biological cosmetic, that is a formulation consisting of a high percentage of natural ingredients from organic crops, which therefore do not use pesticides, fertilizers and chemical fertilizers, or from spontaneous collection in protected areas and certified . The organic cosmetic is also subject to certification by authorized bodies, a bit like food and in these formulations it is not allowed to use polyethylene glycols (PEG, PPG) and derivatives, EDTA, parabens, silicones, dyes of synthetic origin , mineral oils (petrolatum), animal glycerine and all the substances that can give rise to nitrosamines, which we know are chemical compounds with a mutagenic action. The use of products treated with non-permitted production processes, such as radiation and irradiation with electrons, and the ingredients that can cause ecological and environmental damage is not permitted. But the ecobiodynamic cosmetic is also “biodynamic”; this means that in addition to being a cosmetic bio with all the characteristics listed above is also formulated with ingredients from biodynamic cultivations, those that follow even more stringent standards, aiming to enhance their biological activity, or the vitality of the earth.

These cosmetics, for the current legislation do not undergo tests on animals either for what concerns the finished product or for the raw materials used. Our ecobiodynamic face line is composed of a face serum with saffron and san giovese biodynamic, a face scrub with prickly pear and biodynamic Parma oil, a cleansing mousse with lactic acid and rose hip, a face cream with saffron and san juvenile biodynamic, a face cream impure skins with cocomerina pear and mandelic acid, a cream lifting cream with prickly pear and olive oil from Parma, a basic make-up cream with cocomerina pear and argan and green tea and finally an eye cream with saffron, hyaluronic acid and coenzyme Q10. Each product is formulated according to strict quality standards and many of the ingredients used come from biodynamic agriculture. The use of unusual ingredients in cosmetics such as saffron, prickly pear, cocomerina pear, Sangiovese wine and Parma oil, makes this line a real eclectic addition to the excellence of the eco-biodynamic formula . The saffron in cosmetics has excellent revitalizing and purifying properties suitable for unclean and impure skins. Prickly pear extract as well as being a good moisturizer as it provides water molecules to the skin, is also rich in two important antioxidants: indacaxanthin and betanine which act as neutralizers of free radicals, counteracting skin aging and the formation of wrinkles. The cocomerina pear as well as being a complete nutritional support is in cosmetics an excellent concentrate of vitamin A and E, which are both vitamins of beauty, useful in counteracting the formation of wrinkles and signs of aging. San giovese wine is rich in alphahydroxy acids which remove the layers of dead cells favoring cell turnover and considering that it is rich in resveratrol and polyphenols it also acts as a radical scavenger and anti-aging, as well as having a capillaroprotective, astringent, curative effect on couperose and skin with melanic spots.

The goal of our work is not only to formulate a quality cosmetic but also to formulate without damaging the ecosystem, in full respect of the planet and ecology.
